Among all the other new summer releases, let us not overlook Skating Polly, the hard-rocking family band from Oklahoma by way of the Pacific Northwest. I have listened to several cuts from The Make It All Show, and I can say it is more of the gorgeous, gutsy rock and roll that we have come to expect from these lit siblings. I really like Little Girl Blue and the Battle Envy, where they let themselves stretch out for a full six minutes of brooding, rumbling goodness.
